Cops Bust New Pot Dispensary

Less than a week after it opened, London's newest marijuana dispensary has been raided by police.

The London Police Service says it executed a search warrant on Wednesday at Tasty Budd's London, a pot dispensary at 96 Wharncliffe Rd. S.

Officers say they seized marijuana and marijuana edibles. Two people were reportedly arrested, but police did not release any information regarding charges.

The store opened last Friday, with vice-president Tim Balogh saying the goal was to provide fair and reasonable access to medical marijuana.

“We’re selling high-quality product, you’re getting the best quality but we’re also following strict regulations,” Balogh told BlackburnNews.com last week. “You have to have a medical card or prescription, we’re going to verify with the doctors before any sales are made.”

However, federal regulations say people with medical marijuana prescriptions can only get their pot from governrment-approved suppliers.
