Man Pulled From Lake In Grand Bend Pronounced Dead

A man is dead after being pulled from the waters of Lake Huron in Grand Bend.

Police were called just before 8pm Thursday regarding a man who was carried from the water and reportedly unconscious.

Lambton County Emergency Medical Services, OPP, and Grand Bend Fire responded to find citizens performing CPR on an elderly man.

He was transported to hospital, however efforts made to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead.

A post mortem is being conducted Friday to determine the cause of the death.

The man's name is being withheld until his relatives are informed.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
