Provincial police in Norfolk County are investigating after a disturbing discovery at Long Point Provincial Park.
Police say they were contacted Friday at 8:38pm by staff at the park after a dead dog was found inside a pillow case. Around 7pm, the pillow case was seen floating in the water near the shore of Lake Erie by someone who was camping at the park. The pillow case was taken out of the water and that's when the body of the dog was found inside.
The dog was of medium size and had reddish-brown hair.
Police are asking for the public's help in their investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
