Perth County OPP Looking For Car After Fatal Crash

A Kitchener man is dead after a crash just west of Tavistock.

The crash happened just before 11pm Tuesday night on Perth Line 26 between Perth Rd. 109 and Perth Rd. 110.

Police say a car was heading eastbound on Perth Ln 26 when it passed a van in front of it.

An on coming car in the westbound lane veered to avoid the passing car and ended up sliding on the gravel shoulder, veered back across the road and was T-boned by the van.

The driver of the car that was hit has been identified as Jason Ramtahal, 26, of Kitchener.

The Perth County OPP are looking for information about the car that was passing the van at the time of the crash and is described as small, black and a compact type of car, possibly a Honda or Kia model. It was last seen heading in the direction of Tavistock.

Police are requesting the driver of the black car to come forward and contact them. Anyone with information about this collision is urged to contact the Perth County OPP at (519)-393-6123 or 1-888-310-1122.
