London Police Investigating Several Arsons

A series of arsons in the east end of the city have sparked an investigation.

London police say there have been six arsons since August 1.

The incidents involve five vehicles and one building, which police say were deliberately set on fire. The various fires have taken place sometime between Thursday to Sunday, from 11pm-2am.

The area's where the fires occurred are as listed below:

August 1 – Vehicle on Veterans MemorialPkwy.

August 18 – Vehicle on Martinet Ave.

August 20 – Vehicles at two address on Gore Rd.

August 25 – A building on Trafalgar St. and vehicle on Martinet Ave.

Residents are asked to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity in the area and report it to London police at 519-661-5670 or 911.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
