Dorchester Fire Claims Life Of Teen

Police say a 19-year-old woman has succumbed to her injuries following a fire in Dorchester that also claimed the life of a 21-year-old man.

The Ontario Provincial Police say Lauren Duesbury of Thames Center was rushed to hospital, after she was pulled from a house at 151 Oakwood Dr. that went up in flames on Tuesday. Police reported on Saturday that she has been pronounced dead by doctors. An autopsy has been scheduled for an unknown date.

Ryan Parsons, 21, of Thames Centre was also killed in the fire on Tuesday.

A 19-year-old man was able to escape the fire with only minor injuries. He was treated and released from hospital.

Police say an investigation is still ongoing in regards to the cause of the fire.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
