Woman Charged With Defrauding Seniors

One of two people accused of posing as a personal support worker in order to steal from seniors has turned herself into London police.

The 31-year-old woman turned herself in Wednesday, one day after police warned the public about nine fraud complaints at seniors' residences and retirement homes. The complaints were made between December 2015 and August 2016.

In each case, debit and credit cards were taken from the seniors' residences and used without authorization.

Amanda Albert, 31, is charged with numerous fraud related charges.

Police continue to search for 28-year-old Michael French.

The incident has prompted police to issue a reminder to the public and employers to always make sure identification is shown, and that proper procedures are being followed.
