Otters Knock Out Knights In Pre-Season

The London Knights made the trip up Hwy. 4 to Clinton for an exhibition game against the Erie Otters Thursday night.

Erie was better on the power play going 3-for-7 and won the game 5-2.

The Knights were only 1-for-6 with the man advantage and out shot the Otters 30-23.

Despite the loss, GM Rob Simpson says the goal coming into this season is to replicate last year's feat.

"I think anytime you come into a season with the caliber of players we have, you're hoping to do well in the regular season first off," says Simpson. "And then hopefully have a good playoff run and winning another Memorial Cup is the ultimate goal."

Kole Sherwood and Janne Kuokkanen scored for the Knights who are now 1-2 in pre-season action.

London will wrap up the preseason schedule on September 13 at home in a 7pm game against Erie.
