Police Investigating Downed Power Lines

Woodstock police are asking for more witnesses to come forward as they continue to investigate several downed hydro poles and power lines in the city.

Police received several 911 calls about the lines and poles, which came down in the area of Huron St. and Adelaide St. around 4:30pm last Thursday.

According to police, witnesses at the scene provided "conflicting accounts" of what happened. That has left investigators looking for additional witnesses or vehicles that may have been involved in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 519421-TIPS(8477) or toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
