Elgin County Crash Sends Three To Hospital

Three people are in hospital following a two vehicle crash on Fairview Rd. and John Wise Line in Elgin County.

It happened just after 5:30pm on Wednesday.

The OPP say a 1999 blue Ford van was eastbound on John Wise Line and a 2013 grey Toyota car was southbound on Fairview when the collision occurred.  The intersection is controlled by stop signs on John Wise Line.

Two passengers in the van, a male and female, were ejected. Police say they were not wearing their seat belts.

Three people were taken to hospital by St. Thomas Elgin paramedics. One person from the car had minor injuries, while the male from the van sustained minor injuries and the female sustained life-threatening injuries. At this time the female is listed in critical condition.
