Police Looking For Paroled Killer

Provincial police are asking for the public's help in finding a paroled murderer known to spend time in the London and St. Thomas area.

The OPP's Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad is looking for 60-year-old Lyle Ridgewell (pictured above). He is wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for breaching his parole. Ridgewell is on parole for life for a second degree murder conviction.

He is described as being 5’6”, 143lbs, with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who has any information as to where Ridgewell might be is asked to call the OPP ROPE squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-ROPE (7673). Calls can also be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 9-1-1.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
