Driver Identified In Fatal School Bus Crash

Middlesex OPP have identified the school bus driver killed in a crash north of London.

Pamela Walper, 63, of South Huron was behind the wheel of a school bus heading west on Twelve Mile Rd. between Adelaide St. and Highbury Ave. when it hit the north shoulder of the gravel road Tuesday morning. The bus crossed the roadway before hitting a tree and flipping onto its passenger side.

Walper was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say there were no children on the bus at the time.

Twelve Mile Rd. between Adelaide St. and Highbury Ave. was closed for roughly four and a half hours as police investigated.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
