London Teen Charged In Lakeshore Crash

A 17-year-old driver from London is charged with careless driving after a crash Wednesday morning in Lakeshore involving a tractor trailer that was transporting new cars.

The OPP report the crash happened at about 7:50am in the westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 near the County Rd. 27 interchange.

Police say a Sterling tractor trailer auto hauler was heading west on the highway when it was hit from behind by a grey Kia.

The driver of Kia sustained what police describe as minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

The Kia and a Toyota vehicle loaded on the hauler were both destroyed according to police.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
