Two Arrested After SUV Crash, Foot Chase

A London man is among two arrested after a stolen vehicle crashed into a hydro pole prompting a foot chase with police near Dorchester.

OPP say two men broke into a home on Yorke Line in Malahide Township around 8:40am on Monday. They got an undetermined amount of property and took off in a red SUV.

The vehicle was spotted by police shortly after on Dorchester Rd. Police tried to pull the vehicle over but it kept going, rear-ending another vehicle before crashing into a hydro pole.

Police say two men ran from the vehicle following the crash.

With the help of the OPP Canine unit, a 52-year-old London man and a 24-year-old Goderich man were arrested after a foot chase along the Thames River.

They will appear in London court Tuesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
