Horwath To Visit London Friday

The leader of the Ontario New Democrats plans to get a first hand look at how rising hydro rates are effecting Londoners when she visits the city on Friday.

Andrea Horwath will start her day in the west end speaking to a London homeowner about the unaffordability of his hydro bills. She will then visit the YOU Made it Cafe on Richmond St.

Horwath will wrap up her time in the city with a speech at the Islamic Centre of South Western Ontario. Earlier this month, the NDP worked to have October recognized as Islamic Heritage Month in Ontario.

Local New Democrat MPPs Teresa Armstrong and Peggy Sattler will accompany Horwath during her three stops.

Horwath's visit comes less than a week after Armstrong held a town hall meeting in London to hear residents' concerns about the high price of energy in the province.
