Norfolk Man Accused Of Kidnapping 11-Year-Old Girl

A 22-year-old Norfolk County man is facing charges after police say an 11-year-old girl was abducted and taken to Thunder Bay.

The OPP says officers got a report of a missing girl around 9am Monday. Investigators determined she had last been seen at her home in Delhi around 2:30am that morning. Police say she had travelled to Brantford with a man.

Brantford police assisted Norfolk OPP in their investigation and the man and girl were later found to be at an address in Thunder Bay. The man was arrested without incident by Thunder Bay police on Tuesday.

The girl wasn't injured and was apprehended under the Child and Family Services Act.

Brandon Michael Labonte, 22, of Norfolk County is charged with abduction of a person under 14 years of age and failing to comply with a probation order.
