Police Seek Suspect After Jogger Sexually Assaulted

Police are looking for a suspect after a woman out for a jog was sexually assaulted in northwest London.

Police say it happened Tuesday between 7pm and 7:45pm. The victim was jogging along the trail behind Acorn Cr. and Edgehill Cr. when she was grabbed by a man and assaulted. A passerby helped the woman at the scene.

Investigators don't appear to have much to go on when it comes to a suspect description. The suspect is described only as a male who was possibly wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Police would like to speak to the citizen who helped the victim and are asking that person to call police as soon as possible.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
