Crash Sends 11 To Hospital

Provincial police say 11 people were taken to hospital after a crash in Oxford County.

Oxford OPP say the crash happened around 12:30pm Wednesday on the 37th Line at Road 96 in Zorra Township, just east of the village of Harrington. According to police, a pick-up truck heading west on the 37th Line failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a southbound van carrying nine people.

The male pick-up driver, a male passenger, the male driver of the van, seven male passengers, and a female passenger were all taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The pick-up driver, 21-year-old Saul Unsal of Kitchener, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to yield.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
