Woman Attacked Near Fanshawe College

Police in London are looking for a suspect in a sexual assault Saturday night.

It happened shortly after 11pm near Genevive Park, not far from the Fanshawe College campus.  A woman was walking alone on Genevive Place when she was approached from behind by a man brandishing a knife.  The man grabbed her in both arms, pushed her to the ground and proceeded to sexually assault her.  Police say the woman was able to get help, and was treated and released from hospital for her injuries.

The suspect is described as wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt.  He was described as having a deep voice and with "scruffy" growth on his face.  The knife was not found.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
