Man Charged In Three Robberies

London police say a man is facing charges after three robberies in three nights.

On Friday night around 10:25pm, police say a man armed with a knife robbed a variety store at 150 Emery St. W, getting away with cash and cigarettes. The next night, around 11:35pm, a gas bar at 299 Wharncliffe Rd. S was robbed of cash and cigarettes by a man with a knife.

Then on Sunday at 7pm, a man went into the same variety store on Emery St. that had been robbed Friday and was recognized by the clerk as the same man from the previous robbery.

Police were called and an arrest was made.

Daniel Hosie, 33, of London is charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted robbery, three counts of wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, and one count of mischief.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
