Hunters Urged To Be Careful

Provincial police in Elgin County are asking hunters and other firearm owners to be careful after a stray bullet was found in a home in Malahide Township.

Police say they were alerted to the bullet that was found in a bedroom at a home on Dingle Line on November 6. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

However, police are reminding hunters they must never fire unless they are absolutely sure of their target and what lies beyond it.

They're also reminding them that it is illegal to shoot from a vehicle or carry a loaded firearm in or on a vehicle.
