Another Record Month For The London Airport

The London International Airport posted its seventh straight month of record breaking passenger loads in October.

Last month, 43,952 people flew in and out of London on Air Canada and WestJet, an increase of 7% over October 2015. The surge of passengers also makes last month the airport's busiest October on record. The previous record was set in 2007 with 42,345 passengers going through the airport.

"It appears the people of the area are embracing their airport," said Mike Seabrook, president and CEO of London International. "With the southern destination season upon us, we strongly believe we will reach our goal of half a million passengers this year."

The airport has been reporting a steady increase in the number of passengers since April. Its record for the most passengers in one month was set in August when 54,282 passengers chose to fly to and from London.
