St. Thomas Police Lay Drug Charges

A routine traffic stop on Talbot St., in St. Thomas has net drug trafficking charges for a St. Thomas man.

Police allege the 20-year-old was pulled over for speeding at around 2am, when the officer suspected there might be marihuana in the vehicle.

When questioned further, the man turned over $3,000 worth of weed, pills, and coke.

A 35-year-old St. Thomas man couldn’t escape drug trafficking charges, after leading police on a foot chase.

Police say the man fled on food, after officers engaged with him on the west end of Talbot Street, Friday evening.

They say the pursuit was short and the man was eventually caught, but not before allegedly getting rid of some of the product in his possession.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
