Search Continues for Missing Teen

London Police continued to search Sunday night for a 19-year-old who went missing after the canoe he was in flipped in the Pond Mills area.

Constable Ken Steeves says they received a call about a missing person around 3am Sunday.

"Three individuals went out onto the pond in a canoe," says Steeves. "The canoe had tipped over and two of them were fortunate enough to get to shore."

Steeves says the missing person is a 19-year-old male, originally from Simcoe.

Emergency responders are at the scene searching the water and ground area.  Crews and searchers were under the lights at the scene around 8:30pm Sunday, with police saying that they will continue the search.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
