According to police, two men wearing masks made off with an undisclosed amount of medication from the Ernest Pharmacy on Earnest Ave. around 11:05am on Monday.

The pair took off from the store into an awaiting brown pickup truck, which was found abandoned a short distance away. Police say the truck had been reported stolen.

No weapons were seen and no one was injured during the robbery.

Police are searching for three men. The first man is described as white, with a large build, wearing a dark coloured hooded sweater and grey jogging pants. The second man was approximately 5’11, with a slim build, dark hair, wearing a dark blue hooded sweater with white stripes on the sleeves, and dark pants. The third man was 5’11, with a large build, dark hair, wearing a dark hooded sweater, and light black jeans.

This is the second pharmacy robbery in the city since Saturday. A man, armed with a handgun, walked into the pharmacy at 1326 Huron St., near Highbury and demanded medication. He took off in a newer model red Chevrolet Cobalt.

Anyone with information about either of these two robberies is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
