Fraudsters Going Door To Door

Residents in south London are being warned not to open their door for people claiming to be collecting money for the Alzheimer Society London & Middlesex.

London police say they have confirmed that the Alzheimer Society does not go door-to-door to solicit donations. Several reports of people doing just that have been made over the past couple of weeks, primarily in the south-end of the city.

Police are advising anyone who encounters an individual claiming to be representing the Alzheimer Society to close the door and contact police.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
