UPDATE: Hwy. 402 Reopened Following Vehicle Fire

Police have reopened all lanes of Hwy. 402 near London following a tractor trailer fire.

The Ministry of Transportation first reported the fire on Wednesday around 8:40pm.

The OPP say the brakes of tractor trailer caught fire near Carriage Rd. in Delaware, which forced the closure of the westbound lanes while fire crews put out the blaze, and the scene was cleared by a tow truck. The eastbound lanes were also briefly closed due to smoke.

No injuries have been reported and all lanes were reopened at around 10:35pm.
