Woodstock Couple Killed In Tennessee Wildfire

A husband and wife originally from Woodstock have been identified as the two Canadians killed in the wildfires in Tennessee.

Knoxville television station WIBR reports the bodies of 71-year-old John Tegler and 70-year-old Mariliyn Tegler were found in Chalet Village, a cabin rental resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They had been vacationing in the Smoky Mountains.

The Teglers were among at least 13 people killed when flames overtook the area this week.

The Woodstock Sentinel Review reports the Teglers were the parents of Woodstock Fire Chief Scott Tegler.
