Snow Squalls Expected This Week

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for parts of Lambton County and London-Middlesex, advising of lake effect snow squalls this week.

The weather agency says the latest indications show a strong snow squall or two are expected to move into these areas from Lake Huron Thursday night and into Friday morning.

Significant snow accumulation is also possible in areas with the strongest snow squalls.

Drivers should be aware of potential hazardous winter driving conditions such as heavy and blowing snow. Environment Canada says motorists should avoid unnecessary travel in these areas.
