Two Charged In Cocaine Bust

A tip from Canadian border officers helped London police seize more than $74,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana.

London police and RCMP raided a home on John St. on Wednesday. A search of the home turned up 735g of cocaine and 79g of marijuana, cocaine packaging, and a prohibited weapon.

Earlier this month, border officials notified RCMP about a package that was headed to a London address. Police allege the package contained cocaine.

Two 31-year-old London men were arrested. Both are charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Additional charges of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and unlicensed possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon have been laid against one of the men.
