'Grinch' Arrested And Charged

London police say they have arrested a man who is accused of stealing a bag of children's Christmas presents from a local church.

According to police, a man walked into the United Church on Colborne St. around 7:25pm on Monday and took off with a large bag filled with ten Christmas packages for kids.

The incident was caught on a surveillance camera. Police released an image of a suspect on Wednesday.

On Friday, police announced that a suspect had been arrested. A 62-year-old London man is charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

Police say the stolen toys have not been recovered.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
