Pedestrian Struck In Parking Lot

A 33-year-old London man is facing several charges after allegedly hitting a pedestrian in a parking lot.

London police say ,on Saturday around 9:50pm, a truck entered a parking lot near the intersection of Kipps Lane and Adelaide St. The driver was allegedly driving erratically when the pedestrian was struck. However, the driver did not stop and ended up hitting the front of an apartment building.

Police say the driver has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 80 mg, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and assault.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
