Stolen Dog Returned

A Woodstock woman is going to have a much happier Christmas, now that her stolen dog has been returned.

Woodstock police say Thunder, an Alaskan malamute that was taken from the back yard of a home in late-November, was found and returned to his owner on Sunday.

The dog was taken from a fenced in yard on Devonshire Ave. sometime between 2am and 7:30am on November 27.

“I am very ecstatic that he is home,” Thunder's owner Mackenzie Gall told the Woodstock Sentinel Review. “It’s truly a Christmas miracle, a birthday miracle as well considering he was found Sunday on his 10th birthday. My family and myself are truly thankful for everyone who had helped us bring Thunder home.”

Woodstock police are still investigating the theft.
