Trucker Charged After Hwy. 401 Crash

A 73-year-old man is charged with careless driving after a tanker truck overturned in the westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 west of London.

Middlesex OPP say the tractor trailer, loaded with oily water waste, was west of Colonel Talbot Rd. when it flipped onto its side in the centre median around 9am Tuesday.

No one was injured in the crash and none of the waste leaked out of the tanker.

Traffic on the busy highyway was slow going for much of the day as police closed the left lane for cleanup. It was re-opened at 4:30pm.
