One Person Found Dead After House Fire

One person is dead following a house fire in downtown St. Thomas.

St. Thomas Police Services say the blaze started around 3:30am Sunday morning, at a house on Moore St.

Police say emergency crews found someone inside the home but they were pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.

St. Thomas Police and Fire Departments are currently working with the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office.

No further details have been released.
