Australian Police Assist In London Child Pornography Arrest

A tip from authorities in Australia helped London police arrest a man they allege was making and sharing child pornography online.

The Queensland Police Service notified London police about pictures of a 4-year-old London girl being shared through an image sharing website located in Russia on Wednesday.

Acting on that information, officers with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit searched a London home on Thursday, seizing a cell phone and computer devices.

A 40-year-old London man was arrested. He is now charged with three counts of possessing child pornography, two counts of making child pornography, two counts of making child pornography available, two counts of voyeurism, and two counts of making a voyeuristic recording available.

The man was to make a court appearance in the matter on Friday. His name isn't being released to protect the identity of the child.

Police say the girl was not physically injured and is being provided with support from victim services and family.
