National Defence Minister To Visit London

Canada's minister of national defence will be in London Friday to announce upgrades to army vehicles.

Harjit Sajjan will be at General Dynamics Land Systems on Oxford St. in the morning for an announcement his office has said concerns the Light Armoured Vehicle III Upgrade Project.

London North Centre MP Peter Fragiskatos will join Sajjan on his visit to the facility, which employees roughly 2,000 people.

In the afternoon, Sajjan will meet with 700 students at John Paul II Catholic Secondary School on Oxford St. for a town hall-style meeting. Topics of discussion are expected to include Sajjan's experience as a soldier in Afghanistan and as minister of national defence.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
