Man Identified In Fatal Crash

Provincial police have identified the 65-year-old Central Elgin man killed in a single-vehicle crash east of London.

Dennis Wilson was fatally injured after the vehicle he was a passenger in left the roadway and hit a tree on the east side of Elgin Rd., south of Cromarty Dr., just before 7:30am on Sunday.

Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 58-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He is currently listed in fair condition.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were at the scene for much of the morning. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
