Firearms Investigation Leads To Arrest

A man is facing several charges after allegedly pointing a gun in London.

On February 17, police say reports were made about a male allegedly pointing a firearm in the area of St. Julien St. and Hamilton Rd.

The man fled the scene but was later found near Queen St. and English St.

Once a search warrant was obtained, police say a firearm was recovered.

The 41-year-old man now faces several charges including:

-Three counts of threats to cause death -Two counts of pointing a firearm -One count of careless transportation of a prohibited firearm -One count of careless storage of a prohibited firearm -One count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public -One count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized -One count of occupy motor vehicle with prohibited firearm -One count of carry a concealed weapon

Police are asking anyone with information to call  the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
