Bullets Hit East London Home

London police are appealing for witnesses after multiple gun shots were fired in the east end.

A citizen called police around 6:45pm last Saturday after hearing what was believed to be gunfire on Huron St., west of Highbury Ave. Officers searched the area but found nothing suspicious and no witnesses to a possible shooting.

Police returned to the scene on Thursday after being contacted by another person who reportedly found evidence that a firearm had been fired. Officers located shell casings and bullet holes in a home at 1077 Huron St.

The scene was searched and the area canvassed for witnesses. Police said at this point officers have not found any evidence to suggest anyone was injured.

Police have not said how many shots are believed to have been fired.

Investigators are continuing to look into the matter. Anyone with information about this incident are asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
