Lightning Down Riptide In 14th Straight Win

The London Lightning scored their 14th win in a row with a 116-96 victory over the Saint John Riptide on Tuesday.

After the first quarter, the Lightning scored a 28-19 lead over Saint John, and extended it to a 59-47 advantage by halftime.

After three quarters, the Lightning maintained a 21 point lead over the Riptide.  St. John couldn't catch a break in the final frame with London holding on to the lead, to win with a 20 point advantage.

Royce White led London with 26 points and and nine rebounds.  Doug Herring Jr. also put up 24 points and six rebounds.

The Lightning will head to Windsor on March 8 to take on the Express at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
