Express Snap Lightning Win Streak

The Windsor Express scored a 114-93 victory over the Lightning on Wednesday to snap London's long-lasting 14-game winning streak.

The Lightning held a one point lead over the Express at the end of the first quarter. A back-and-forth second frame saw the game tied multiple times, but London pulled ahead 45-43 going into halftime.

The Express surged in the third to take a seven point lead over London with 7:02 left in the frame, and extended it to 80-68 going into the fourth.  Windsor remained ahead in the final frame and continued to add to their lead to win with a 20 point advantage.

Wally Ellenson scored a game high 23 points for Windsor and had four rebounds. DeAndre Thomas also put up 19 points and four rebounds, while Shaquille Keith and Maurice Jones both had 17 points.

Anthony Criswell and Garrett Williamson led London with  19 points each. Ryan Anderson also had 12 points and four rebounds.

The Lightning return home to take non the Niagara River Lions on Saturday at 7pm.  And then on March 15, the Express are at the WFCU Centre to take on the River Lions at 7pm.

PW Fall Fair celebrates 180 years

Gates for the three-day fair will open at the Wyoming Fair Grounds on Main Street on Friday, September 18, at 5 p.m., with opening ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m.
