Man Attempts To Lure Boy Into Vehicle

London police are investigating after an unknown man reportedly attempted to lure a 9-year-old boy into his vehicle.

On Wednesday between 6pm and 6:30pm, the boy was approached in the area of Meadowlands Way and Callingham Dr. by a vehicle being driven by a man he didn't know. Police say the man attempted to coax the boy into his vehicle, but the child ran away and told an adult of the encounter.

The man drove away in an unknown direction, and the child was unhurt.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, tall, with short black hair that is spiked on top, and a beard around his chin area with no moustache. He was last seen wearing a brimmed hat, black track pants with red sides, red ankle boots, and a coat with red section panels on the front and back, and black panels on the side.

The vehicle is described as a grey, newer GMC SUV, with black luggage rails on top.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
