Drunk Driving Charges Laid In Fatal Crash

Impaired driving charges have been laid against a 19-year-old London man in connection with a crash that killed an elderly woman in Middlesex County last fall.

Marion Satchwill, 81, from Strathroy-Caradoc was killed in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Vanneck Rd. and Egremont Dr. on November 26, 2016.

Middlesex OPP say a pickup truck heading north on Vanneck Rd. collided with an eastbound Dodge car on Egremont Dr.

The car then crashed into an oncoming Honda, driven by Satchwill.

The passengers of the Dodge, a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, were injured in the crash.

Following a lengthy investigation, police announced on Wednesday that the driver of the Dodge, Allan Waller-Guest of London, is charged with nine offences including impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle cause death, and driving while ability impaired causing bodily harm.

Waller-Guest's first court appearance will be in London on May 25.
