Drivers Killed In Hwy. 3 Crash

UPDATE: Police Identify Drivers Involved In Fatal Crash

Two people are dead after a head-on crash near the St. Thomas Airport.

Elgin OPP say on Wednesday just after 3pm, a burgundy pickup truck collided head-on with a beige pickup truck on on Hwy. 3.

The drivers were the lone occupants in their vehicles, and both died in the collision.

Few other details are available at this time.

Police were forced to close Talbot Line (Hwy. 3) between Quaker Rd. and Belmont Rd. for several hours to conduct an investigation. The roadway was reopened around 9pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
