Crash Sends Three To Hospital

Three people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in St. Thomas.

Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the crash happened around 7:30am Saturday morning, on Burwell Rd. and Ron McNeil Line.

"At this point in the investigation it was revealed that a vehicle leaving Burwell Rd. was struck by another on Ron McNeil Line," says police in a media release.

Police say a male was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. Meanwhile, two others in the second vehicle were also taken to hospital but with minor injuries.

Ron McNeil Line between Pine Valley Dr. and Highbury Ave. was closed for several hours during the investigation. The road only recently opened to traffic around 2pm Saturday afternoon.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
