Maple Syrup Equipment Stolen

Thieves appear to be targeting maple syrup equipment in Middlesex County.

Middlesex OPP say the equipment used in the maple syrup making process was stolen from two sheds on March 30.

A sap vacuum jar was removed from a shed on Nairn Rd. in the first incident. Later that same day, a sap pump and electric motor was stolen from a shed on Ilderton Rd.

Police are asking anyone with information about the thefts to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
