Teens Charged In Hate Graffiti Case

Less than two months after homophobic and Islamophobic slurs were spray painted on a London high school, police have made arrests.

London police say a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from London, were arrested on Wednesday in relation to the incident at B. Davison Secondary School on Trafalgar Rd. The two teens are charged with mischief and damage to property under $5,000.

The hate-motivated messages were discovered on the school’s front doors around 8:30am on February 22. Black spray paint was used to vandalize the school with two derogatory statements.

Police have consulted the London Middlesex Crown Attorney’s office on the hate crime aspect of the case.
