Suspect Arrested in London Bank Robbery

A suspect is in custody after a bank robbery Saturday in London.

A man walked into the bank at Southdale Rd East and Montgomery Rd in the White Oaks section of the city around 12:30pm and demanded money from the teller.  He took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled, first in a taxicab and then on foot.

Multiple officers attended the scene and the suspect was arrested a short time later without incident.

The money taken from the bank was recovered and there were no injuries.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
