Man Injured in Assault

London police are investigating an alleged edged-weapon attack on Easter Sunday.

It happened shortly before 2pm in the area of Highbury Ave North and Huron St on the city's northeast side.  Officers responded to the area on reports of a man injured by an edged weapon.  The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A suspect was located at a Huron St address and was taken into custody without incident.  A weapon was recovered but information on the type of weapon has not been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
